    The Graduate Diploma of Applied Information Technology will help you sharpen your IT skills and knowledge and update yourself with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.

    The one-year program is the ideal professional development for IT professionals who want to up-skill in a field of computing in which they have little prior knowledge. You can choose to study a range of elective subjects on data management, networking, web design and development, programming and cyber security. During your second-semester project you work with industry to analyse real problems in the workplace, and research, build and implement solutions.

    There is growing demand for smart, knowledgeable IT professionals and with the higher-level skills and knowledge that you gain, you could further advance your career or move into a new area of specialisation.

  • Admission Criteria

    All students (domestic and international) must:

    • Have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline; or
    • Have completed a minimum of a two year diploma equivalent to NZQA Level 7 or higher in a related discipline; or
    • Be able to demonstrate at least three years equivalent relevant practical and/or professional experience (a curriculum vitae must be submitted detailing relevant work experience and professional achievements).

    English Language Requirements

    IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 4 with the Academic Endorsement or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome.
